Team India captain Virat Kohli and actress Tamannaah Bhatia seems to be involved in some unnecessary trouble as a lawyer from Chennai has filed a petition in Madras High Court seeking a ban on ‘online gambling’.
The petitioner pointed out that gambling is a criminal offence in the country, and also it leads to many suicide cases, due to heavy losses faced by the gamblers in those online applications.
He also added that celebrities like Virat Kohli and Tamannah Bhatia are leaving huge impact on this. By endorsing these gambling applications they are manipulating many youngsters throughout the country, therefore he appealed that they both should be arrested regarding this.
The petitioner mentioned a case of a youngster who committed suicide because of gambling. He compared this gambling with the bluewhale game which ended many young lives. According to a report in DNA, this will be taken up for next hearing, next week.
