Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday took action against US President Trump for spreading coronavirus misinformation. They took down a video posted by Trump as it violated the rules against sharing misinformation about the coronavirus.
Trump’s official account posted a video clip from a Fox News interview in which he said, " schools in the United States should be reopened because children have a high level of immunity so they don't get contacted with the virus."
He also added that, " If you look at children, children are almost - and I would almost say definitely - almost immune from this disease".
Later on Wednesday, Twitter officials said they had frozen the @TeamTrump account because they posted the same interview which is in violation of the Twitter Rules on COVID-19 misinformation.
Finally the tweet got deleted and only then they got the access back to use the account.
