A die-hard fan of Rajinikanth was found dead in a theatre screening 'Lingaa' in Coimbatore on Friday.
C Rajendran, who was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer 3 months ago and being treated for it ever since then, went to watch 'Lingaa' against the advice of the doctors and family. The 58-Year-Old went out of his house on Thursday night and boarded a bus to catch the 9.45 PM show that lasted till 12.55 AM. When the cleaning staff came to do their job, they spotted at this man lying in the seat and tried to wake him up thinking he might have fallen asleep. As there was no response, they grew suspicious and informed Race Course police.
Eye Witness say, Rajendran bought himself popcorn and soft drink during the interval and he thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Police handed over the body to family members after post mortem at Coimbatore Medical College. A case under section 174 of CrPC (unnatural death) has been registered.
